ZIEGLER FAMILY REUNION (8/6/2004)
All the prodigals return home.Andys

That's my grampa Andy and my cousin Andy. My uncle Andy is the missing link. They all really look similar, too. Put them all in a line and they depict the life of man.
Buleys Invade

Though the reunion was for my mom's side of the family my dad was able to make it up from Connecticut and brought Angela, my little sister from his second marriage. So that's my dad with his three daughters. Quite possibly the first photo ever taken with all four of us together.
Claire & Gram

I kind of love this picture because my grandmother is usually so busy running around making things happen. I can't think of many moments where I've seen her just relaxing, which she seems to be doing here. I also love how unaware and comfortable Claire is in her naturally ordained perch on a grandmother's lap.
Eliza

That's Eliza. Damn she's cute.
Front Porches are for Chit Chat

From left to right: my little sister Heather, my aunt Chrissie, my cousin Henry, my sister Jen, and my aunt Jane (Henry's mom). Whenever I returned to my grandparent's house for summer vacation or extended stays, homecoming was everyone coming out onto the porch to greet me.
Heather & Claire

My little sister Heather. Heather's lovely and sweet and, it goes without saying, an irresistable playmate for a little girl.
Heaven

Those are my cousins Claire and Eliza. For all of five minutes we played a very exhausting game where I run back and forth between the front and back yard and they try to chase me. And then I fall down and they jump on me. That's about the sweetest dog pile imaginable.
Jen & Angela

Unfortunately I haven't seen a lot of her because she lives in Connecticut, but Angela (far left) is a very sweet, very serene kid. Where did she get it from?
Jen & Ed

My sister and my dad. She's his oldest.
Jen & Me

You mess with my sister I breaka you face
Me & Ian

Me and my little brother Ian. He's a big hugger. Truly and without irony. Just one more reason I love him.
Mutt and Jeff

That's my aunt Jane and my little brother Ian. He has suddenly grown very tall. See! Hugs!
Susy and a Heap of Kids

I think this my favorite picture from the day, though, because my aunt Susy (on the right) is like the pied piper for all children and this feeling (Henry asleep in her lap, the little girls all around her) is exactly how I remember growing up with her, and it's kind of wonderful to know that such things don't change.
Tug of War

How did Henry (fourth from the front) switch sides mid tug?
Tug of War

So technically I am related to all these people, but the only ones I know are my little sister Heather (blond, second from the left) and my cousin Henry (smiley kid, third or fourth from the left).
